The Health Promotion Office of University Health Services-Manoa is excited to announce the 2009 Condom Fair. It will be held on Friday, February 13th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the University of Hawaii Campus Center Mall. The Health Promotion Office anticipates approximately 2,000 students to attend this year‘s Condom Fair.

The purpose of the Condom Fair is to promote a healthier lifestyle, through the appropriate and consistent use of condoms, healthy sexual decision-making, and good communication. The Condom Fair is not meant to promote sexual activity, however for students who do choose to be sexually active, condoms are the safest way to protect against sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancies. The Condom Fair 2009 aims to educate students about healthy relationships in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

This year, participants for Condom Fair 2009 include Planned Parenthood, Kulia Na Mamo, the Waikiki Health Center, Life Foundation, and Power 104.3 FM will provide entertainment. Condom Fair 2009 will offer free massages and educational activities such as the condom race and "Pin the Condom on Jack." Prizes and giveaways are available such as condom roses, condom key chains, lubricant, candy, and other fun Valentine‘s Day items.
