In celebration of the bicentennial of Charles Darwin‘s birthday, 1809 — 2009, and the sesquicentennial publication of his seminal work, On the Origin of the Species, the University of Hāwaiʻi at Manoa Library is sponsoring a fundraiser featuring Charles Darwin Bobbleheads.

Through March 31, the UH Library is accepting advance orders of the commemorative Charles Darwin Bobblehead for a donation of $25/bobblehead. The fundraiser will support Library Enrichment events such as exhibits in the Bridge Gallery, lectures, readings, and workshops for the campus community. The fundraiser ends May 17.

The polyresin "little Darwin" comes complete with the scientist's birth and death dates inscribed on the base. Weighing a little more than a pound, and standing about 8 inches tall, it is the perfect gift for the scientist, or aspiring scientist, who has everything!

Advance order the Charles Darwin Bobblehead at the Business Window (956-7203) on the first floor of Hamilton Library. For more information or for an advance order form, please contact Teri Skillman, 956-8688 or skillman@hawaii.edu.
