The Academy for Creative Media (ACM) at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa is proud to present the 2011 ACM Awards Showcase Screenings and ACM Awards Ceremony.

Designed to bring the UHM community together to celebrate ACM student accomplishments, all UHM students and the public are invited to attend these very special events. ACM students will first debut their newest films during the ACM Awards Showcase Screenings on Thursday, April 28 and Saturday, April 30. These films will be judged by the UHM audience and ACM faculty and then awards will be presented on May 6at the ACM Awards Ceremony.

ACM Awards Showcase Screenings
During the final week of instruction, ACM will host the Showcase Screenings in the UH Mānoa Art Auditorium. At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28  and Saturday, April 30, ACM will show a marathon of all submitted films, which ACM students have been feverishly working on for this special end of the year screening event. These films will include narratives, documentaries, experimentals and animations. In many cases, this will be the first time an audience has seen these films so anticipation is very high! All UHM students are encouraged to come and vote for the best films. Because there will be an Audience Award, ACM Filmmakers who will be screening work during the showcase are encouraged to bring all of their UHM friends to the screenings and vote. There will be complimentary local style food and admission is free! In addition, a panel of faculty judges will also vote and award several additional awards, all of which will be presented at the ACM Awards Ceremony to be held one week later.
