Chancellor's Scholarships offered to high-achieving high school graduates

Chancellor Virginia S. Hinshaw has announced the establishment of a new Mānoa Chancellor’s Scholarship Program that will grant up to 80 scholarships of $8,000 annually ($4,000 per semester) to high-achieving Hawai‘i high school graduates who want to enroll at UH Mānoa beginning in Fall 2012. The scholarships will be renewable for up to four years (eight semesters) with continued high academic performance.
 
“We’re excited that this new program will recognize the impressive achievements of Hawai‘i high school graduates and support their continued academic success at UH Mānoa,” said Chancellor Hinshaw. “We believe that these outstanding students will become outstanding Mānoa alumni, who are our greatest contribution to the community and world.”
