Veterans in higher education conference to be held on Wednesday, March 21

A one-day conference entitled "Responding to Student Diversity: Understanding Service Members and Veterans II," will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at the UH Mānoa Campus Center Ballroom. The faculty and staff session will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and the student session is from 12-4 p.m.
 
The conference will provide the latest information on the state and needs of active duty service members and veterans in higher education.
 
The keynote speaker is trainer Dr. John Schupp, Founder and Director of Supportive Education for the Returning Veteran (SERV) program at Cleveland State University, which was designed to help military veterans with their transition from soldier to students.
 
All interested students, faculty and staff are invited to participate. The event is free but participants must register.
 
The conference is sponsored by the UH Mānoa Office of the Vice Chancellor for Students.
