Collins and Miho promoted to better serve the University

HAWAIʻI – The University of Hawaiʻi Foundation is happy to announce the promotion of two development professionals.

KC Collins, CFRE, has been promoted to executive director of development, regional and community colleges. Most recently she served as the director of development, regional and community colleges at the UH Foundation. In this new role, KC will continue to provide direct fundraising support to Kaua‘i, Windward and Leeward Community Colleges, and will serve as the administrative leader of the UH Foundation regional and community colleges fundraising team.

KC previously worked as development manager for Castle Medical Center. Prior to that she was director of development for Windward Community College for the UH Foundation and then promoted to director of development for community colleges. KC is a member of the Garden Club of Honolulu, Association of Fundraising Professionals, and honorary director of the Robert E. Lee Memorial Association. Raised in Hawaiʻi, Collins earned her BA in advertising at San Jose State University.

Mariko Miho has accepted the position of executive director of development, Hilo.  She most recently served as the senior director of development, regional and community colleges at the UH Foundation. In this new role, Mariko will manage the UH Hilo development team and expand the partnership with UH Hilo, one of the fastest growing colleges in the UH System.

Mariko was born and raised in Honolulu. She graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 1980 with a BA in Psychology and has been working in leadership and development positions supporting public higher education for the past 18 years. Previous posts include; community affairs and special programs coordinator at the University of Hawaiʻi community colleges; vice president of donor services and marketing at the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation; and associate vice president of development at the University of Hawaiʻi Foundation. Earlier in her career Miho worked in diverse settings in Tokyo, California and Hawaiʻi, as a language trainer, business-to-business marketing communications specialist for Hewlett Packard, and nonprofit executive for performing arts and cultural organizations.
