HILO – Hawai‘i Community College (Hawai‘i CC) is pleased to invite the community to the 3rd Annual Hawai‘i CC Day on Friday, February 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Manono Campus in Hilo.

The day will begin with a kīpaepae welina. Visitors can then spend time at the interactive exhibits presented by the college’s academic programs and student services.

“Hawai‘i CC Day provides an inside look at our programs and the various ways we serve Hawai‘i Island,” said Hawai‘i CC Interim Chancellor Joni Onishi. “The academic programs always present engaging displays, and many Hawai‘i CC students and faculty members will be present to answer questions.”

Hundreds of middle and high school students from Hawai‘i Island schools attend the event each year.

“By engaging middle and high school students on our campus we hope to instill in them the importance of higher education,” said Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Jason Cifra. “We also want to demonstrate that Hawai‘i CC is a welcoming campus where students can study a wide range of subjects.”
