This cross-disciplinary course is an opportunity for UH Hilo computer science, marine science and art majors to collaborate on a digital project meant to educate the public on ecological issues.
The UH Mānoa College of Languages, Linguistics & Literature and Japan’s National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics have entered into a collaboration that expands endangered language research endeavors.
The 18-month project is part of the Humanities Open Book Program, a joint initiative between the Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Participation in the Early College initiative, in which Hawaiʻi students can earn college and high school credits while still in high school, increased by 11 percent from 2012 through 2017, according to the College and Career Readiness Indicators Report.
In recognition of this pledge the Open Kitchen in the Signature Restaurant will be named the “Kelvin Ro and Diamond Head Market and Grill Open Kitchen.”
