Yamauchi scoops ABCA/Rawlings West All-Region Team honors

Fifth-year UH Hilo shortstop Casey Yamauchi was named to the West All-Region Second Team.

UH Hilo’s Aurea Streadbeck and Sabina Boo-Rivera were named to the 2022–23 Academic All-District Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country Team.

UH Hilo women’s basketball player Bree Olson was honored for achieving the highest cumulative GPA with at least five semesters as a Vulcan.

Joshua Liu, Luca Matheiowetz, Julia Barden and Casydee De Mattos were honored for the 2022–23 season.

Several UH Hilo student-athletes received honors, including athletes of the year, “Most Pono Vulcan” and more.

UH Hilo softball player Jayda Favela and baseball player Vance Oshiro were named KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week, April 19–May 2.

Kiersten Saludares and Tia Kualiʻi earned PacWest Freshman of the Year and All-PacWest Second Team honors, respectively.

Andrew Otani, Junsu Im and Coach Earl Tamiya were honored with 2023 PacWest men’s golf awards.

In the Vulcans' 27 PacWest conference contests, Favela held a 1.000 fielding percentage on 69 putouts and 60 assists.

Vulcan student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher were honored.
