Gallery

Galleries are useful to showcase media on pages. Both images and videos can be featured in the Gallery component.

Create a Gallery Block

  1. Click Add Content at the top.
  2. Select Gallery > Gallery.
  3. XHTML/Data Definition Block Name: Add a name for your block.
  4. (optional) Title: Add a title to display above the gallery
  5. (optional) Summary: Add a summary to display above the gallery.
  6. Gallery Media: Add your photos/videos to display in the gallery
    1. In the Media group, enter the following;
      1. Type: Choose whether the media is an image or video
        1. Image:
          1. Image: Select an image to display
          2. Image Alternative Text: Enter descriptive text for the image if the image is not decorative
        2. Video:
          1. Video Source: Select the type of video
            1. YouTube: 
              1. Video ID: Enter the ID at the end of the URL (ex. "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzCksJk_r3I", Video ID is "rzCksJk_r3l")
              2. Thumbnail Image: Select a thumbnail image to display in the gallery for the video
              3. Image Alternative Text: Enter descriptive text for the image if the image is not decorative
            2. Vimeo:
              1. Video ID: Enter the ID at the end of the URL (ex. "https://vimeo.com/185406827", Video ID is "185406827")
              2. Thumbnail Image: Select a thumbnail image to display in the gallery for the video
              3. Image Alternative Text: Enter descriptive text for the image if the image is not decorative
            3. Local:
              1. Video File: Select the video file
              2. Thumbnail Image: Select a thumbnail image to display in the gallery for the video
              3. Image Alternative Text: Enter descriptive text for the image if the image is not decorative
          2. (optional) Title: Enter a title to display in the lightbox
      2. Additional media can be added by clicking the "+" icon at the top right corner.
      3. Rearrange media by using the arrows at the top right corner or dragging the group at the top left corner.
      4. Delete media by clicking the "x" at the top right corner.
  7. Click Preview Draft > Submit

Add the Gallery Block to Your Page

  1. In your desired page, add a new row and select "Gallery" as the row type.
  2. In the Gallery group > Gallery Block, select the block you created from the previous section.
  3. Click Preview Draft > Submit.
