What We Do

University of Hawai‘i General Education Foundations courses (FG, FQ, FW) are intended to help students develop skills and perspectives that are fundamental to undertaking higher education. UH Executive Policy 5.209, UH System Student Transfer and Inter-Campus Articulation mandates that Foundations credits “shall transfer seamlessly across the system.” The General Education System-wide Foundations Board oversees Foundations articulation requirements and implementation processes in support of student success.
