Welcome to the Office of Public Health Studies (OPHS) at the University of Hawai‘i. Through its multidisciplinary and multicultural approach to instruction, research and community service, OPHS emphasizes the preparation of future public health leaders who are proficient at employing public health knowledge and skills in a culturally diverse world.


OPHS offers master's degree programs in four areas of specialization: epidemiology, health policy and management, Native Hawaiian and Indigenous Health, and social and behavioral health sciences and doctoral degrees focusing on community-based and translational research (DrPH) and epidemiology (PhD).

OPHS also administers the Global Health and Population Studies certificate program.
