List of Potential Candidates Delivered to Governor
On March 1, 2017, the Candidate Advisory Council delivered to Governor David Ige’s office a list of candidates for the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents (BOR).
A list of 9 candidates was provided, from which three may be nominated by the governor for appointment to the BOR for three seats to be filled effective July 1, 2017, with consent of the Hawaiʻi State Senate.

List of Potential Candidates for Interim Appointment Delivered to Governor
On March 9, 2017, the Candidate Advisory Council delivered to Governor David Ige's office a list of candidates for the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents (BOR).
A list of 4 candidates was provided, from which one may be nominated by the governor for appointment to the BOR for a seat to be filled immediately on an interim basis until confirmed by the Hawaiʻi State Senate.
