List of Potential Candidates Delivered to Governor
On March 1, 2021, the Council delivered to Governor David Ige's office a list of candidates for one Hawai'i County seat on the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents.
A list of three candidates was provided, from which one may be nominated by the governor for appointment to the BOR effective July 1, 2021, with consent of the Hawaiʻi State Senate.

On December 28, 2020, the Council delivered to Governor David Igeʻs office a list of candidates for two Honolulu County seats on the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents.
Two lists of five candidates each were provided, from which two may be nominated by the governor for appointment to the BOR effective July 1, 2021, with consent of the Hawai'i State Senate.
