Born and raised on Oʻahu, Christianne earned her BA in Linguistics, East Asian Studies, and Economics and MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Arizona. She then returned home and earned an MA in Linguistics from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, where she assisted in language documentation projects for Ikema Miyakoan in southern Okinawa, Japan.
After graduating from UH, Christianne was a program specialist for a local non-profit organization where she managed multiple educational programs connecting Hawaii's youth with their peers in Japan.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, getting out into nature, and spending time with her dog.
