Sunhee Kim Fujii

Sunhee Kim Fujii joined the Department of Second Language Studies as Program Specialist in January 2020. She assists the Department Chair and Graduate Chair with graduate admissions, student development, SLS scholarship management, and alumni engagement. Sunhee also serves as the SLS Employment Officer and is a content manager of the departmental website.

Over the past decade, Sunhee has worked as instructor, coordinator, and research specialist/analyst. She has worked for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program, University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Korean Language Flagship Center, University of Maryland Language House, University of Maryland Center for Advanced Study of Language, and the City and County of Honolulu, to name a few.

She holds two BAs in Korean and Japanese and an MA in Second Language Studies from the UH Mānoa. She earned a Graduate Certificate in Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation from the University of Maryland and is currently working towards her doctorate in Second Language Acquisition.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and reading nonfiction books.
