Luciano Minerbi

Luciano Minerbi (Dr. Arch., MUP) is Professor of urban and regional planning at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. His research includes island planning and sustainable development, human ecological and environmental approaches and place-based management. He published on responsible tourism, coastal zone, indigenous people, and land use planning. He served local organizations, city, county, state, federal agencies (USEPA, USDOE, USAID, USACE/FEMA, USDOI, USDOA/NRCS, USNPS, USNOAA), the East-West Center, United Nations organizations (UNSO, UNCRD, SPREP and SPC) and island governments or organizations (American Samoa, Independent Samoa, Hawaii, Canary Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Palau, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Timor Leste.

Interests: water, food, indigenous wisdom, social justice, Urban and Regional planning, sustainable communities
