Tami (Therese) MacAller, MPH, MCHES, holds a Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a Master of Public Health in Community Health Education from California State University Northridge and is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. Currently teaching at Hawaii Community College and working with Hawaii Public Health Institute, Tami guides individuals and communities to choose healthfully for the environment and for themselves.
Most recently, Tami partnered with the County of Hawai’i to develop and implement tobacco-free and litter reduction policies, collaborated with environmental partners to eliminate marine debris, use of plastic, and coastal cleanup.
Previously, Tami worked at the University of California San Francisco and California Department of Public Health facilitating efforts to prevent and manage chronic disease.
