Dr. Wendy Kuntz is Associate Professor of Biology and Ecology at Kapi’olani Community College in the college’s STEM program and faculty advisor to the student Ecology Club. Dr. Kuntz’s research interests are in applied ecology and conservation biology. She has mentored multiple undergraduate environmental science research projects and is accomplished in designing projects that engage students in their community. She is a member of the Hawaii Team for the NSF-funded Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities (SENCER ) program. Dr. Kuntz developed and is the faculty director of the Kai Yama Program, an international environmental science collaboration between KCC and Kansai University, Japan.
