University of Hawaiʻi Executive Policy on Sustainability EP4.202 established a formal, standing Sustainability Curriculum Coordination Council (SSCCC) to steward the complex and rapidly evolving dialogue about Sustainability Education. Meet your campus representatives below:

Faculty representatives from each campus help to clarify content, learning outcomes, assessment, and articulation strategies for existing and new sustainability certificates, courses, programs and co-curricular activities.

The SSCCC meets quarterly via videoconference technology to share challenges, insights and progress made in Sustainability Education, and takes recommendations back to campus governance bodies. This work helps to cultivate coherence, consistency, rigor and efficacy of Sustainability Across the Curriculum.

  • Krista Hiser, Professor, Director of Center for Sustainability Across the Curriculum, SSCCC Chair
  • Don Straney, UH System VP Academic Policy and Planning
  • Matthew K Lynch, UH System Director of Sustainability Initiatives
