(See also Confidentiality; But see Privacy)
Confidential Resource means an individual(s) appointed by the University and who is not a Responsible Employee of notice of Prohibited Behavior. Confidential Resources can provide assistance related to issues of sexual harassment in a confidential manner. Non-personally identifiable information may still be shared with the University, in the interest of allowing for some institutional accountability while still respecting victim autonomy.
In the Title IX Context, Privacy & Confidentiality are sometimes accidentally used interchangeably, but have separate meanings.
ONLY designated employees can promise confidentiality.
