Sex Discrimination is any unlawful distinction, preference or detriment based on sex or gender that is sufficiently serious to unreasonably interfere with educational access and/or employment.
Sexual violence is a form of sexual harassment, which is a form of sex discrimination outlawed under Title IX.
Sex discrimination is prohibited conduct/behavior under the University’s Executive Policy 1.202 Nondiscrimination and Affirmative Action.
Sexual Harassment, as defined under 34 C.F.R. §§ 106.30, is also prohibited conduct/behavior under the University’s Executive Policy 1.204 on Title IX Sexual Harassment.
