Amazing Picture Machine

This site is part of the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping schools and the students. NCREL specializes in the educational applications of technology. The Amazing Picture Machine provides lesson ideas, pictures and other media resources for educators to use in their curriculum.

This website contains an easy to use database that is categorized by a cross-section of materials, curriculum, grade and time-frame. This is extremely helpful to art teachers whom have limited materials and/or time. Teachers may enter the materials they have available in the classroom and search for any project that requires only those materials.

This site is an online resource guide for teachers. It is a one-stop search engine for Educational Web sites. It is a valuable site because there are many links for lesson plans, articles and references.

An excellent place for science fanatics, this site has links to some of the "coolest" websites on the Internet. There are links to practically every science discipline. From astronomy to physics, this site has it all.

Inclusion space

This site is excellent for those teachers who are or will be teaching in inclusion classes. It gives vital information on what inclusion is, what the legal requirements are, and strategies for teachers to use. It is produced by the Renaissance Group, which is a "consortium of universities noted for their teacher preparation programs and for working to reform teacher education."

Library Spot

This site grants visitors free admission to a virtual library. You can access dozens of almanacs and encyclopedias. The site even has links to Government and Law libraries. Anything you can find in a public library, you can find here.

School-to-Work

This site is excellent for secondary level school teachers/staff because it provides information on the school-to-work program. It provides information on all aspects of the School-To-Work Opportunities Act and would be useful for STW coordinators. Topics range from grant information, to calendar of events, to evaluation issues (progress of program), to resources. This site is an excellent source of information relating to Hawaii-specific issues regarding the school-to-work program. It has links to Hawaii's content and performance standards and how to motivate students.

SuperKids Educational Software Review

This site contains excellent links for teachers, children, and parents. The site has a math worksheet creator and provides wonderful reviews of the latest educational software.

Pics4Learning is a copyright-friendly image library for teachers and students. The Pics4Learning collection consists of thousands of images that have been donated by students, teachers, and amateur photographers.

This site is excellent for teachers of all grade levels and subject matters. It has information and links to resources on a wide variety of topics, such as ideas on how to teach the alphabet, educational software, behavioral issues, learning centers, and SPED issues! It is a comprehensive site that makes things so convenient for the viewer.

Ideapractices

This site includes vital information on all aspects of IDEA - the law, regulations, resources and frequently asked questions, to name a few. It also has a subtopic that you can click on, such as "ideaDEPOT" - where you can research a variety of topics relevant to IDEA. Information on disciplining, assessment, technology, IEP process, and inclusion are just a few of the valuable resources available on this site.
