This website contains an easy to use database that is categorized by a cross-section of materials, curriculum, grade and time-frame. This is extremely helpful to art teachers who have limited materials and/or time. Teachers may enter the materials they have available in the classroom and search for any project that requires only those materials.

Discovery Channel School

The Discovery Channel's School site offers a variety of resources for teachers, students and parents. For educators, there is a variety of lesson plans, Discovery videos, links and other resources.

Education World

This site is an online resource guide for teachers. It is a one-stop search engine for Educational Web sites. It is a valuable site because there are many links for lesson plans, articles, and references.

National Council for the Social Studies

This site was developed by the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) as an informational service for social studies teachers. This is a valuable site for social studies teachers because it provides information on NCSS Conferences and on-line registration, award and grant information, professional development opportunities, as well as Internet links for teaching resources. Teachers can find lesson plans here, check on listings for upcoming televised educational programs, and can even review Curriculum Standards for Social Studies.

Netfiles, in its third season, is a FREE monthly in-service magazine program that shows teachers the tools and equipment they need to be Net Wise. On-air instructor Tom Doering features the latest and greatest educational web tools and sites. This website, authored by the Library of Congress, features lesson plans and activities which utilize the LC's digitized American Memory Collection. The American Memory Collection consists of original pictures and documents from American history which have been digitized and made available for viewing on-line.
