The IMUA NSF Hawaii EPSCoR project is bringing National Science Foundation program officers to Hawaii for a series of grantsmanship workshops that will be held throughout the University of Hawaii system from November 14-20, 2003. This is part of a series of grantsmanship workshop efforts organized by Hawaii EPSCoR.

The workshops will focus on identifying grant opportunities, pre-proposal communication with NSF, grant writing strategies and post-award administration of NSF grants. In general, the morning sessions will be presentations by the NSF officers about their programs and the grant opportunities available across NSF. In the afternoon, there will be breakout sessions focusing on specific programs and discussion topics from the morning sessions. Therefore, each workshop may vary in topic and scope based on the interests of the workshop participants. Significant time has been scheduled with these program officers at most of the UH campuses in order to provide opportunities for as many people as possible to meet with them and exchange ideas with each other.

The sessions are free. Please refer to the web site above for more details. A schedule of the workshops and a list of the NSF Program Officers that will be in attendance at each site has been provided.
