COmlpeteing the forms was very helpful.
The video lectures were the most helpful.
I believe the most valuable aspect of the course was the quizes which were used in McGraw Hill to help us prepare us for the acutal exams and assignments helped a lot.
Being able to actually have the hands application of preparing the tax returns(Practice makes perfect!)
The end of chapter questions in the book and confirming with the solutions posted on Laulima.
Mr. Kamida is very helpful too.. he responds quickly and provides a lot of help.
The video site is very much helpful, so is the outline under the discussion (Laulima). The power point presentation too is helpful.
Every aspect of the course was valuable. Each line item and tax form help understand the rules and regulations of how taxes are calculated/refunded.
The most valuable, of course, was the information regarding basic preparation of income tax returns. This information was presented through lecture videos and reading assigned chapters.
Mr. Kamida put up very helpful videos to help us with the chapters and go through all the problems we met. The projects also gave us hands on experience and helped with better understanding.

The format of the class, the extra effort that Mr. Kamida puts into his teaching makes this online course the best course I've taken so far. I wished he'd be teaching more classes. He's definately a professor that I would recommend to friends who are interested in taking an online course
The chapter videos were valuable to me as I studied for the exams. Your emails were also valuable is it reminded me of what was due for the week and what was coming up for the next week.
Project 1 so far, this project applied the information that I learned and made well use of it.
I would say that the videos are very a very valuable learning tool. The videos made by Mr. Fujita and Mr. Kamida are great.
Also, Roy likes to do internet meetings once a week, and they are good info getting tools as well.

The course is very informative and simple when it comes to taxes, tax forms, and the procedures that come with completing and filing each form. Everything is relatively simple.
Mr. Kamida gave a clear, concise schedule at the beginning of the class and sent many emails per week to keep the students on track.
The Chapter Videos that went along with the text information. The lecture (videos) cleared up a lot of questions from the text book. Also, updated tax laws outside of the classroom was good information provided by the instructor.
The video lectures on Laulima as well as the video answers to some questions were incredibly
helpful. Using that in addition to the book really helps with understanding the material. On top of
that, Mr. Kamida is very quick with responses to any questions you may have.
All aspects of the course were valuable. Up until now, I've had my taxes done by tax preparers and have left it in their hands. I didn't understand credits and deductions. I just knew what I earned and complained about what I owed to the State or IRS!!!!!!
The entire course was valuable. Taxes is something that applies to everyone. As a person just starting out in life it was really beneficial to know all of the credits that I can take when I buy a house and start a family. Paying for my future children's college has always been a concern for me so it's good to know about all of the tax credits available.
The most valuable aspect of the course are the online lectures provided for every chapter. It gives the student the same feeling of being in a live class such as going over a tax concept and examples. The student is also given the opportunity to review the lecture repeatedly when something's not clear to him or her.
I liked the projects because we had to learn to do tax returns manually which help you understand tax better.

I really like that Mr. Kamida posted class announcements AT LEAST once a week, if not more. It helped me keep on task with all of the assignments.
Just learning the basics of tax preparation-- what a taxpayer can benefit from, what their tax liabilities were, etc.

Also, the class was set up in an organized manner, so each chapter you knew what to expect and what work needed to be done.

Doing the various case studies that involve different parts of the income tax forms and treating each tax return as a actual tax return that would be submitted to the IRS.

He had some videos which he posted which went through the tax forms step by steps which were clearly explained.

The course outline, the video site, and question and answers. Mr. Kamida even challenge every student to support their answers after exam (if they got it wrong) and if it is reasonable he will change the exam score.

He answers questions promptly. He offers lots of extra credit homework. I really liked his video lectures because almost 90% of what's in the book were tackled and summarized in the video, making learning easier.
All the posted assignment and course expectations were clearly expressed in a timely manner with detailed instructions. Weekly assignments and postings by instructor allowed for valuable communication between teacher and student. Extra credit opportunities help tremendously. Mr. Kamida is the best!!

Information and weekly emails are helpful and is a convenient reminder for what needs to be done in the coming days. I think that these weekly emails are very helpful. The fact that the instructions and grades are easy to understand does not hurt.
Everything! Mr. Kamida was always available to answer questions, course expectations were very clear and he gave feedback on each assignment so that the student was aware of what they did wrong.
That he responded to questions promptly while being an online student. Also, he allowed us to ask personal tax questions as part of assignments so that we could relate to what we were learning in the text.

Mr. Kamida is a very efficient instructor. If I had any questions, I had them answered promptly. It wasn't sometimes. It was ALL THE TIME. He was ON IT. His explanations were easy to understand. I didn't feel that his instructions were in any way complicated.
I appreciate that he communicated with us through email so I would always know whats going on. I like that he posted other students questions to make sure the entire class has an equal opportunity to knowledge and thoroughness in understanding the class.

He gives us alot of valuable information relating to this class as well as info related to school and also the accounting profession. Hes thorough, helpful, and always prompt to grade our assignments & exams.
He always answered email quicly and claerly, using examples and sharing student questions with all of us to learn from.
He always has detailed powerpoint lectures and examples of problems. Whenever I need help, he
responds in less than 6 hours....Majority of the time he responded within 5 min to a half in hour with
a very clear explanation. He is really helpful and posted all questions anonymously online so that
other students can view it and hopefully benefit. All of our grades are updated in at least every
week.

Roy Kamida has a well sturtured and organized class. Every week we had a list of tasks that needed to be completed. He always kept everyone updated on anything new and his reminders were very helpful, especially when I had a lot of other things going on at the same time. I definitely would recommend other students to take this class.

I plan on taking classes from him again. The way he set up the class allowed for easy understanding

I really enjoyed this course, especially online. I feared this class because I don't like taxes-I thought it was difficult with all the tax laws and trying to remember all the limits. I was also told by friends that it was a hard class and they took it as a lecture. So I was intimidated from the start, but I'm glad that I made the choice to do this course online and had the a good experience.
