Two hands holding a heart

Aloha UH Mānoa students and employees,

Happy New Year! As our UH Mānoa community enters into an unpredictable Spring semester, we realize that individuals may experience stress that can feel overwhelming or affect their psychological, social, family, academic and/or occupational functioning. UH Mānoa has resources to support your health and well-being at any stage of your academic journey.

The mental health professionals at the UH Mānoa Counseling and Student Development Center (CSDC) are here to help if you need support. The CSDC is available for scheduled appointments during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm. The range of free mental health services to UH Mānoa students include brief individual, couple, and group counseling, crisis intervention, peer-to-peer support, outreach services, and referrals to on-campus resources and community providers.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of our array of educational and social programs, including virtual support spaces to meet and share experiences with peers, and self-help workshops focused on developing skills for living a healthy, balanced life. Students can register online for these events and access additional mental health resources.

Our office is open and located in the Queen Liliʻuokalani Center for Student Services, Room 312. During the Spring 2022 semester, routine services will continue to be provided via Zoom. Our website is updated regularly to reflect our upcoming schedule of events and any adjustments to our range of services. Students can call CSDC at (808) 956-7927 to schedule an initial telephone appointment with a counselor to learn more about mental health resources on campus, and get connected with the most appropriate service.

Faculty and staff can also benefit from the expertise and support of the mental health specialists within the center. Assistance with crisis intervention and postvention, clinical consultation, referrals, training and skill development and/or workshops are available to campus colleagues. Please call CSDC for assistance with these mental/behavioral health and wellness-related matters, and see our website for additional free, accessible training opportunities.

On behalf of the Counseling and Student Development Center, we send you aloha and best wishes for a happy, healthy Spring semester!

Mahalo,

UH Mānoa Counseling and Student Development Center
