Earth Day Festival and Concert
Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015, all day
Campus Center Courtyard and Legacy Pathway

The festival will feature several vegetarian food options, dozens of community organizations and vendors from 10am till 4pm, and end with an evening concert featuring Paula Fuga and Mike Love from 6pm to 11pm at the Campus Center Courtyard. The entire event is free of charge and open to the public.

Film Screening, 10:30am-noon, Campus Center Courtyard tent
Free screening of the acclaimed documentary “Cowspiracy” which exposes the greatest contributor to global climate change.

Workshops, noon-4pm, Campus Center Courtyard tent
Throughout the day, a number of workshops including smoothie making and environmental philosophy will be offered.

Earth Dance, 12-130pm & Yoga, 3-430pm, Legacy Path Lawn
Local yoga studio will host an ecstatic “Earth Dance” from 12pm till 1:30pm and a vinyasa yoga class will be held from 3pm till 4:30pm on the Legacy Path lawn.

Mike Love & Paula Fuga Concert, 6-11pm, Campus Center Courtyard
Headlining musical act is the Mike Love, Sam Ites & Paula Fuga Trio. Opening musicians include The Luminaries with Jerome James, a progressive hip hop group from Venice Beach, local folk rock group Butter Side Down, and local reggae artist Paul Izak. Slam poets will also perform during the concert.

As an event that strives for high standards in sustainability, this festival will be a near zero-waste event, and all music will be powered by solar generators from RevoluSun and bike-powered generators from Pedal Power Hawaiʻi.

The annual Earth Day Festival hosted at UH Manoa is the largest Earth Day celebration on the island, bringing in thousands of people each year. Everything is free.
