Call for nominations of Honors faculty

The University of Hawai`i at MÄnoa Honors Program is pleased to announce a call for nominations for Honors Faculty. Nominations are open to regular faculty with excellent records of research and teaching. We have 2-3 positions open and are particularly interested in faculty from the natural sciences, arts, and​ humanities. Individuals nominated and selected will be invited to teach one course in the Honors Program each semester for up to two academic years beginning Fall 2015.
Please provide nominations to Vernadette Gonzalez (vvg@hawaii.edu) by October 31, 2014. Nominations should include the following:
Letter of interest outlining your experience in mentoring students and teaching a range of courses, including courses focused on research
Letter of support from department chair (please note that nominees will need to clear their course releases from their departments for 4 consecutive semesters)
Current curriculum vitae
Sample syllabus
Evidence of excellence in teaching or course evaluations
Self-nominations are welcome. ​
