Google@UH Services and Terms

Google@UH is the University of Hawaii's implementation of Google Workspace for Education. Google@UH Services are provided to UH users for instituational use and by using Google@UH Services, users agree to abide by UH Executive Policy E2.210 (Use and Management of Information Technology Resources), Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 708, and all applicable policies and regulations. Google@UH Services are provided to UH users ad-free.

Data stored by UH faculty and staff using certain Google@UH Services are covered under Google's Data Region Policy: covered data will only be stored in Google data centers geographically located in the United States.

Use and access of Google Core Apps is goverened under the terms of UH's master agreement with Google. Core Apps are available to all Google@UH users and include:

Additional Google Apps (such as YouTube, Maps, Earth, Takeout, etc.) are also available should users elect to turn on Google@UH Consumer Apps. Consumer Apps include applications which are governed by either Google's general Terms of Services or by app-specific terms. All Consumer Apps fall under ITS's "best effort" support, as described in the ITS Computer Support Policy. The decision to turn on and use Google@UH Consumer Apps is solely at the discretion of the individual user and is not mandated by UH. Visit our Google@UH Consumer Apps FAQ for more information.
