Intermediate students use Japanese for Busy People, Volume III. In addition to the Japanese language study lessons, classes include conversation with native Japanese speakers on different topics, and some Japanese culture study.

Advanced students use JLPT N2 textbooks to brush up Japanese grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and kanji. Classes include demonstrations of Japanese culture and Japanese conversation practice with experienced Japanese native speakers.

For continuing students, but newcomers are welcome with instructor approval. Call (808) 956-8244 to inquire.

Natsuko Tateishi, MA, has taught Japanese classes at the University of Hawai‘i since 1997.

Sueko Honda has taught Japanese language at Kaimuki Adult School, 2000-2007, and at The St. Andrew’s Schools, 2007-2016.
