Antiracist Parenting 301

April 21, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
Virtual via Zoom Add to Calendar

Join the UHM Office of Civic and Community Engagement in partnership with American Association of University Women at UHM (AAUW-UHM RIO), Student Parents at Manoa (SP@M), After Schooling Better, and Read To Me International for the third and final virtual workshop in our series on how to become an antiracist parent. This time will be looking at using books to engage our kids about race. To encourage parents and caregivers to engage with kids about race in becoming antiracist, we will be offering one, FREE race-conscious book per family for various age ranges. There is a limited quantity of books, therefore, priority will be given to those who join the live workshop. Books to be mailed out/picked up after the event. Books provided through a SEED Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access and Success (SEED IDEAS) grant to promote access, respect, and tolerance on our UHM campus.
