Mānoa Political Internship Application Due April 15

Applications for the Spring 2024 Mānoa Political Internships are due on April 15, 2024 at 11:59pm (HST) The Mānoa Political Internships are unique opportunities for highly motivated UH Mānoa undergraduate students of all majors to gain professional experience working at the top levels of federal and state government while receiving an achievement scholarship to earn academic credit. Full-time internships are available with the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C., as well as the offices of Hawaiʻi’s Governor and Lieutenant Governor, the offices of the Honolulu Prosecutor and Public Defender, and the Hawaiʻi State Legislature. All full-time interns will receive an achievement scholarship to cover 12 credits of resident tuition for the semester. Congressional interns will receive an additional stipend to cover the costs of travel and housing in Washington, D.C. A minimum 3.0 GPA and junior undergraduate standing are required to apply for full-time internships. Part-time internships are also available with the local offices of Hawaiʻi’s congressional delegation. All part-time interns will receive a small stipend. A minimum 3.0 GPA and sophomore undergraduate standing are required to apply for part-time internships. Applications are due April 15, 2023 (11:59pm HST) via the UH STAR Scholarship System.
