May 20, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Hawaii Convention Center

Trainer is well known Canadian Evaluation Rockstar! Researchers are conscientious about conducting quality and rigorous research, and evaluators similarly strive to conduct the best evaluation possible. But, how much thought is given to communicating the results effectively? How can we best report our results to stakeholders in a form that promotes uptake and action?

There are more effective alternatives to the traditional lengthy report. Individuals who are responsible for communicating outcomes need to make their findings accessible through a variety of mediums and to a broad range of intended users.

This interactive workshop will present an overview of four key principles for effective reporting and engage participants in a discussion of the diverse ways one can disseminate their outcomes to a wide audience. Participants will leave with an expanded repertoire of innovative alternatives to the traditional report along with selected tips and techniques.

You Will Learn:

The role of good reporting in the program planning cycle

4 principles for effectively communicating research and evaluation results

3 alternatives to writing a traditional-style report.
