Sun Yat-sen (November 12, 1866 – March 12, 1925), a revolutionary leader and the founding father of modern China, had deep ties to Hawai‘i. Known as the "Father of the Nation," Sun's vision and leadership laid the foundation for the Republic of China.
Commemorating the 100th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen’s passing, this exhibit highlights Hawai‘i’s contributions to his revolutionary journey. It explores his formative education, his revolutionary activities, dedicated supporters, and the ongoing preservation of his legacy through community efforts and the UH Mānoa Library.
