Precious Arao holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philippine Language and Literature (major in Filipino) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

She was the former Supremo/President and long-term officer of the Katipunan Club. She is one of the founding members of the Himig ng Katipunan Glee club, which was established in Spring of 2015. As an undergraduate student, she assisted Dr. Pia Arboleda in translating one of the stories in "Gang of Five" by Ninotchka Rosca that was launched in 2015. She also has articles and videos that were published in the Kalayaan Literary Magazine. As part of her service to the community, she consistently volunteers for summer programs for kids, as well as fund-raising efforts that support the Philippines and the Filipino and Philippine Literature program. She now helps in the recruitment and academic advising desk of the Filipino program.
