Schools of the Future

sotf_logoSave the date for the SOTF annual conference on October 3-4, 2019 at the Hawai‘i Convention Center. Join teachers and administrators from Hawai‘i’s public, private, charter and parochial schools as they focus on how to best transform our existing schools and create new learning environments for the 21st Century.

This collaborative event is presented by the Hawai‘i Association of Independent Schools, the Hawai‘i Department of Education and the Hawai‘i Community Foundation in partnership with the Pillars of Peace Fund of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation and the Hawai‘i Society for Technology in Education to highlight the best practices that are taking place in our learning environments today and being planned for those of tomorrow.

Three lucky teachers won the Digital Media Kits that HENC awarded in the Digital Media Playground at the SOTF Conference on Nov. 4, 2015:

Each kit had a value of just under $1,000 and is being treated as one of the Hawaiʻi Schools Digital Media (HSDM) grants for the 2015/16 school year.

According to the organizers of the Digital Media Playground, more than 150 teachers visited the playground on Nov. 4 and participated in all four of the digital media “stations” (Olelo, PBS, Kamehameha Schools, and Hiki No) to learn about the various aspects of digital video production and the HSDM grant program.
