Plasmid DNA or PCR products undergo a cycle sequencing reaction (BigDye terminator chemistry), cleanup, and capillary electrophoresis in an Applied Biosystems 3730XL DNA Analyzer. The sequences produced have read lengths up to 1000 bases.

User-prepared fluorescently-labeled DNA fragments are mixed with the appropriate size standards and subjected to capillary electrophoresis in an Applied Biosystems 3730XL DNA Analyzer. The fragment profiles are provided to the user.

Libraries are constructed from DNA or RNA samples. The libraries are sequenced using a MiSeq system, with each run producing up to 15 Gb (billion bases) of data. Data output will depend on the application, read length, and amount of data required by the user.
