The Internet: Its Rising Prominence in International Affairs

Michael D. Mosettig writes and lectures on international affairs and the world politics-media nexus, most recently as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins SAIS. He was the editor and senior producer for foreign affairs and defense at PBS NewsHour and Online NewsHour from 1985 to 2012. He now writes on international politics and economics for PBS Online NewsHour, European Affairs and other venues and is an analyst for Channel News Asia and other broadcast outlets. Mosettig also worked as NBC News producer, UPI correspondent and national security correspondent for the National Journal. He is a two-time Emmy winner. He has written about media and international relations for Foreign Policy, Channels and the SAIS Review. His articles and reviews on foreign affairs, economics and politics have appeared in the Washington Post, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, the Economist, Far Eastern Economic Review, and The New Republic. He is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies and the Council on Foreign Relations. He participated in the US-Australia Leadership Dialogue (Sydney, 2005) and the World Economic Forum in Davos. He completes a two-month swing through Asia to participate in his third EWC forum.
