Bamboo & Cherry Blossoms

Boston-based has Bamboo & Cherry Blossoms will perform a mix of newly choreographed works for Japanese dance - koto - shakuhachi. The trio fuses contemporary and classical music for Japanese instruments with dance inspired by nihon buyō, a genre born in 17th century Japan. Dancer Michiko Kurata (aka Hanayagi Sukekatsumi) joins musicians Chris Molina (shakuhachi) and Claudia Erland (koto) for this live performance Wednesday 2/21 at 3:00 pm.
