International Night 2016: Haku the Lei of the Aina

“International Night 2016: Haku the Lei of the Aina (Weaving the Lei of the Land) will be held at the University of Hawai’i at MÄnoa Center for Hawaiian Studies Halau on Dole Street on Friday March 18th, 2016, from 5:00– 8:00 pm. This annual event features students presenting the wonderful array of cultures represented at UH MÄnoa via cultural booths and stage performances. The purpose of International Night is to promote cross-cultural understanding and celebrate our cultural diversity! Cultures highlighted this year will be from the countries of Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Japan, Micronesia, Nepal, Philippines (Ilokano), Russia, Thailand, United States of America, Vietnam, and Western Samoa.
ISA is a registered independent organization at UH MÄnoa, that is sponsored by International Student Services. The goals of ISA include: promoting global friendships and helping international students adjust to life in Hawaii. We meet our goals by planning activities such as International Night, where ISA members gain experience in TLC – teamwork, leadership, and cross-cultural communication.
