UHM MFA student directs Hawaiian language play

March 9, 7:00pm - 9:30pm
Mānoa Campus, David O. Mckay Auditorium BYU-Hawaii, 52-220 Kulanui St., Laie, Hawaii Add to Calendar

Let us celebrate a new Hawaiian language play, "Nā Kau a Hi‘iaka," that is being directed by Kau‘i Kaina, who will be the first MFA to graduate from the Hawaiian Theatre & Playwriting program under Professor Haili‘ōpua Baker in the Department of Theatre & Dance.

Every single cast member is either a past/current Hawaiian language student at either UH Mānoa or BYU Hawai‘i and/or also a former Hawaiian language immersion student. Here we see the fruits of our collective labor to help Hawaiian not only survive but also thrive once again!
