These UHM faculty will discuss their use and commitment to Hawaiian language research in the fields of Soil Sciences and Geography.
Why is Hawaiian language critical to their research? What are the intellectual and ethical challenges around acquisition, access and collaboration? What is the future of Hawai'i-based research as it pertains to the Hawaiian language repository?
These questions and more will be discussed at this "Hawaiian Language in Unexpected Places" panel.Â
