Parent Cohort: Hawaii Positive Engagement Project

Parents will learn: Keiki school readiness: Communication, Cooperation, Setting Limits, Solving Problems, Friendship, Building Confidence We will utilize the research based First Step to Success homeBase Curriculum) Building strengths, including clarity on your personal vision, values, goals Well-being and self- care focus Enhancing relationships and building comnunty Early literacy and hands on bookmaking Format: -OPTIONAL Opening Retreat, Sunday, 10/1 from 10a- 4p @ Manoa Grand Ballroom -One month of two recorded videos each week (estimated total of 20-30 minutes combined). Listen to at your leisure -Membership and participation in Google Community (2 posts encouraged a week per person) -Goal setting and self- monitoring -OPTIONAL Closing Retreat, Saturday, 11/4 from 9a- 12p @ Dave and Busters. Come make books with your keiki! Other Information Neighbor island parents and caregivers welcome to attend (although they have to pay for their own transportation) This cohort was developed for parents of keiki 5 and younger, although all parents are welcome If you participated in an educator cohort and are also interested in this parent cohort, we welcome you! Please just know that a lot of the content may be overlapping. The difference in this cohort is the addition of the First Step to Success homeBase curriculum for school readiness Please let us know if you have any questions!
