“Underwater hyperspectral imaging for marine bio-geo-chemical applications”

The talk comprises the applications of using Underwater Hyperspectral Imagery (UHI) of bio-geo-chemical objects of interest. The UHI have been deployed on different instrument carrying platforms such as Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV), Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV) and landers. Until now, most surveys have been focusing on the seafloor (5-4200 m depth) and current focus is towards the water column and surface waters as an aid for other platforms such as drones, mini-satellites and polar orbiting satellite information.
