Pakistan and Its Neighboring Environment

Consul General Memon will provide an update on current events in the region as they relate to Pakistan with a specific focus on its neighboring countries. He will also provide an update on the internal development in Pakistan and the challenges the country faces. Consul General Abdul Jabbar Memon joined the Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles on Dec. 21, 2015. He had previously served at Pakistan’s embassies in Madrid, Spain and Cairo, Egypt, and at the High Commission of Pakistan in Pretoria, South Africa. He has also served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, in several administrative capacities. Consul General Memon joined the Pakistan Foreign Service in 1993. He holds a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan.
