China Town Hall, a national day of programming on China involving about 75 ciites throughout the United States, is presented by the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council, Hawaii Foreign Trade Zone 9, and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. Co-sponsored by Chaminade University and the East-West Center.

“Chinese Investment in the U.S.” - 1- 2pm Live, webcast panel discussion of a new report by the National Committee on U.S. China Relations and Rhodium Group titled “New Neighbors: Chinese Investment in the United States by Congressional District”.

"China in the Xi Jinping Era" - 2-2:45 pm On-site presentation examining aspects of Xi Jinping's reform initiatives and exploring their implications for U.S.-China relations including trends in Chinese outbound investment and tourism affecting Hawaii.

Dr. Christopher A. McNally is a Professor of Political Economy at Chaminade University and Adjunct Senior Fellow at the East-West Center in Honolulu, USA. His research focuses on comparative capitalisms, especially the nature and logic of China’s capitalist transition and Sino-Capitalism. He is also working on a research project that studies the implications of China’s international reemergence on the global order.
