Sharks as Oceanographers: Oceanographic Data from Animal-Borne Sensors

Increasingly sophisticated animal-borne sensors and transmitters are now capable of acquiring ocean environmental data as well as providing very accurate estimates of the animals' positions (tracks). This presentation will give an overview of recent developments and also present some recent movement data from tiger sharks tagged around Maui.
