Laha Mau Book Talks: Sunny Skies, Shady Characters, by Jim Dooley

December 9, 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Mānoa Campus, Hamilton Library 301

In his new book, James Dooley revisits highlights of his career as a hard-hitting reporter for the Honolulu Advertiser and, in later years, for KITV television and the online Hawaii Reporter. Join us as he shares lively backstories about chasing high-profile scandals and provides an insider’s look at the business of journalism and the craft of investigative reporting.

Following the talk, Dooley will sign copies of Sunny Skies, Shady Characters: Cops, Killers, and Corruption in the Aloha State, recently published by UH Press.

This event is the second installment of Laha Mau Book Talks, a series of readings and lectures featuring local authors and celebrating the UHM Library and UH Press's shared commitment to spreading knowledge. Follow UH Press's book blog and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for information about future Laha Mau Book Talks.
