Eric Paul Shaffer will read poems from A Million-Dollar Bill, his sixth volume of poetry, to celebrate the book’s publication. The poems celebrate thunderstorms on O‘ahu, sunrises on HaleakalÄ, and childhood wisdom and foolishness while describing the perils of eating watermelon seeds, the delights of spilling coffee, and how the author lost his library card.
